Bushveld Camps Bush Lodges Private concessions with Luxury Lodges inside the Kruger Park Basic Accommodation Types in the Kruger Park Paraplegic camps Restcamps Major rest camps all have electricity and first-aid facilities. Most rest camps have a small shop, communal kitchen and laundry facilities. A restaurant or self-service cafeteria with public telephones and a petrol station are the norm. Info centres are located at the following restcamps: Skukuza, Letaba and at Berg-en-dal. Nature trails are laid out in Berg-en-dal and Punda Maria, and are accessible to blind guests at Pretoriuskop. Satellite camps dont have reception, shops or a restaurant. Check in takes place at the appropriate parent camp. See list below. Bushveld camps dont have restaurants or stores. Access to bushveld camps are restricted to overnight visitors only. Electrical equipment, such as shavers and hair dryers, cannot be used except at Bateleur and Biyamiti. Open outdoor verandas serve as the dining room. All units are equipped with a refrigerator, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and a stove. All bush camps units have private ablution blocks. Communal freezing facilities are offered at Sirheni, Biyamiti, Shimuwini and Talamati. Day excursions and night drives can be organised in most of the bushveld camps. Bush Lodges Offer an exclusive private lodge experience with a unique style and atmosphere providing the opportunity for clients to enjoy in complete privacy. They can only be reserved by one group, en block at a time. There are no shops or restaurant facilities; the kitchen has a gas stove with oven, refrigerator, freezer, cutlery and crockery. Only residents may enter the camp area. Gas barbecue facilities are provided and wood can be purchased for a braai. Boulders bush lodge is situated approximately 25 km south of Mopani and can accommodate 12. Solar panels provide power for lights and fans only. In addition to the main sleeping unit which has 2 bedrooms and en suite bathrooms, there are also 4 separate bedrooms with bathrooms. Boulders Bush Lodge is embedded in the rocky outcrops forming the backdrop to the units that are built on stilts. The rooms are spaced closely together, without losing their privacy, making it suitable for groups made up of close families and friends that want to experience nature's tranquillity together. The private viewing deck offers guests unhindered views of the mopane veld plains, and a private waterhole. Roodewal bush lodge is situated 44 km north of Satara and can accommodate a maximum of 19. There is a family cottage with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. 3 bungalows have three beds each and a loft with two mattresses, a bathroom and a small refrigerator. Solar panels provide power. The lodge is situated on the banks of the Timbavati River. The unique quality of this camp is due to the extreme privacy of each individual sleeping unit, making it ideal for celebration parties, corporate think-tanks and small intimate wedding parties. The units are spaced to offer privacy to each guest / family occupying that unit. Private viewing deck is built on stilts and overlooks the Timbavati River.
