Alla Bella Donna Clifton

Anyone thinking of staying at the Alla Bella Donna Clifton and especially in the ground floor apartments one being the Aquamarine, please be aware there are 400 steps to negotiate each time you want to get in and out of the apartment. We were not informed of this when making the booking and my husband has a knee condition which means he cannot deal with that ammount of steps, its ridiculous to expect anyone to pay to stay in a place with that ammount of steps. They did sort out something for us so it was ok in the end but its not the point. My next and most important point is this,we are currently still awaiting our refundable deposit of 1,560 rand which is now in the hands of our bank. They were paid in full at the beginning of Jan 2008 and depsite my emailing them we have had no refund. Hopefully it will be resolved soon. Despite this we had a fabulous time in S/A and stayed at Van Der Stell Manor in Stellenbosch and De Kloof Estate Swellendam both highly recommended.
