car Registration details - Updated online?

Does any one know of a sure way to update your car registration details online without having to go therough the tedious efford of phoning the traffic department?

Anything to do with cars or traffic in SA is always governed by an inefficient system. It is getting slightly better but I gotta say this sounds a little optimistic.

The other consideration is that surely they would want to see the ID book of the person updating the details?

I don't think I've ever bothered to vote for the same reason - screw queueing for ages and wasting your time, they'll have my vote when you can do it online.
