Fire on Table Mountain

Much of the mountain was ablaze yesterday when a fire starting near Vredehoek got out of control. Looking from where I am staying billows of smoke covered about half of the visible sky. It was one of the biggest fires I have ever seen in CT. To my knowledge no one was hurt though and I hope the animals in the mountain made a safe retreat as well.
