Default flora and fauna

Hi

As we are travelling to Kruger next year, (September) we would be interested in reading up on the flora and fauna of the area. The BIG 5 are obvious, but would like to learn more about the other wildlife big and small that we may come across, so that we will have a basic knowledge before we get thier.

Can anyone reccomend any good web sites, i have done a search but keep coming up with tour operators sites

Many thanks

Tanya

The first one all about the Krugerpark, the camps in it and so on, the second one is the official website of the southafrican parks, the third is about the flora and fauna in the park.

Which camp are you going? Maybe i can give some specific tips as we visited several camps in the park.
We visited the park in different season, i think september can be great !

Have fun!

I think that Jacana are contracted to the Parks Board to write those books. Last year, when we visited KNP, I noticed that most of the books and maps at the park shops were by Jacana.
