I,m hoping to get some good advice here. We are going to a wedding in Joberg that ends on the 5th of November, we then have from 5th until 13th to do what we like so from Joberg we want to do a Safari and also stay in the grounds in a hut or lodge, we are taking our ten year old son also. We have been told to see Sun City also. We also thought about a visit to Cape Town. I'm just so lost though as all these tailor made packages cost a flippin fortune. So far i have booked my flights to Joberg Return to Uk and that is it. So my questions are...

How do we get to chosen Safari place from Joberg? Fly? Coach? Cost?

Which Safari does anyone recommended, baring in mind we want to do Sun City as well. Is there one close to Sun City and Cost?

Which Lodge or Hut or any type accomodation can you recommend within the grounds of the chosen Safari Park. Cost? (not too basic but nothing too expenisve)

Sun City? What to do? Accomodation? How long to stay?

Cape Town, how do we get here from Sun City?
What to do in Cape Town? How long shall we stay?

Finally getting back to Joberg for our booked flight on the 13th November.

I,m sorry to ask so many questons but i have never been anywhere like this in my life and the intenet just has so much to offer so i though i would ask people who have had the experience.

The easiest and cheapest way to get around is by hiring a car. SA does not have good public transport. The best thing to do is go straight to sun City which is situated in the Pilanesberg for 2 days, it takes about 2 hours from Joburg. The Palace hotel is awesome. The Pilanesberg offers some great safari lodges. See Tshukudu Game Lodge or Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge at least 2 days.

Then drive back to OR Tambo fly on Mango the low cost airline owned by SAA. Stay either in Camps Bay or Constantia, depending on if you like the sea or the country side. You need at least 4 days in CT.
