Default Hints and tips for newbie

As my user name suggests I am visiting South Africa for the first time, which will be in July to work at a community project, Quarry Heights, near Durban. Can anyone give me any hints and tips for first time visitors?

How is your hosting organisation facilitating this process?

anyway her goes...(1) Durban has a population of 5 million the largests population of Indians outside of India.(2)The busiest harbour (3) Durban was named after Benjamin Dúrban (4)largest Mosque in the Southern Hemisphere and largest Hare Krishna temple.(5)The city is based in the province KwaZulu Natal. Natal name is used because "founded" on Chritmas day...much more.
Tips. Have big ears, slow to judge, ask genine questions, blend and try not to give unsolicited advise.Becareful what you say about people from your own country. It might just sound exactly like the stereotyping comments and assumptions used towards previously disadvantaged people here......D
