Lake Kariba

Have you checked out Lake kariba? This place is the best kept secret in Zambia. Located on the Zambezi River, lake Kariba is a freshwater heaven covering 6000sq Kms. You can go all year round, but it gets very hot from September to Feb. This place has loads of great activities, but is mist famous for the best Tiger fishing in the world.

The best time to visit is from April to August unless you wish to tiger fish then September through October is best. The Lake Kariba car ferry, sails the length of Kariba, provides a means of travel to and from Victoria Falls via Mlibizi, usually only during the holiday periods.

The best is to rent a houseboat, they have a large choice. Game is plentiful and scuba diving in the lake is a must.
