Wink Safety on the trains

I have heard that we are forty hears behind in public transport, and it is sad because there are so many of us that use the public transport. For me it they way i get to and from work every day.

As it gets closer to the Christmas period there seems to an increase in theft and attacks on the trains. Please be alert at all times and make sure that you are aware of you surroundings. If you are asked for your bag throw if away from yourself as it gives the attacker time to go and pick the bag up and gives you a chance to run away. Ladies carry pepperspray on you. Do not carry a large sum of money on you and carry your cellphone in your pocket rather than you bag. Keep your bag on your arm at all times and try not to fumble around in it - get you train ticket out well in advance.

When climbing on a train try and sit on the carriage closest to the train driver or sit on a train with a security guard on it. If you cant seem to any of these sit on the train that has more people on it rather than an empty one. Travel at decent hours and try and travel with some one.

Do not agitate your attacker, do what they say! After all what is more important - your bag or your life?
