Default Sun City

Hi,
I plan to be staying at The palace, sun City for one night in december(19th to be exact) and wanted to know if there's anyone there who has been there, and could advise me on what to do (in terms of priority) as I am just there for a day's stay. I know there is an awful lot to do in addition to just relaxing, but what would you suggest?
Also I plan to drive from Pretoria, so when should i start to avoid traffic and such, and how long will it take? Is it easy enough to find my way there?

Default Sun City

Hi Hilda

Sun City has a huge variety of entertainment on offer, rangeing from slots to safaris; theatre extravaganza to a games arcade for children; horseriding to golf; the Valley of Waves to The Lost City… whatever it is you're looking for, you will find at Sun City.

Clients at Sun City can enjoy a day trip at the Pilanesberg National Park. Many guests enjoy the romance of traditional balloon safaris.
For those who prefer adventure activities with more firepower, Sun City offers Clay Pigeon Shooting or go to ‘Elephant Wallow’ where you will meet the elephants and their handlers.

The two golf courses were designed by South Africa 's golf guru Gary Player, and top golf tournaments, such as the Nedbank Golf Challenge, are regularly played here.

Its about 200km West of Pretoria, it should take you about 2 hours to drive. What time will you be arriving in Pretoria?

Default Annual closure

Please note that the annual closure dates for maintenance of the Valley of Waves, Dungeon, Amphitheatre and Observatory Deck at Sun City are 05 May - 30 June 2008 both dates inclusive.

During this period no function bookings will be accepted. Residents at The Palace will be asked to use the shuttle to gain access into the Entertainment Centre.

The Palace Pool will also undergo maintenance from 17h00 on 27 June 2008 and re-open on the 21 July 2008.

Please convey this information to staff and ensure that all guests are made aware of the closure dates prior to their stay at Sun City.
