Hi
Does anyone know whether it is safe to take a coach from Jo'burg to Cape Town?
Is the area "Park City Transit Centre" a safe place to go to as I need to board the coach from here?
Any advice please!
Thanks

Traveling by coach from Jo'burg to Cape Town is not recommended, flying is cheaper, faster and safer. Taking a train should be your second choice and only if you are desperate should you be taking a coach. South African roads have high accident rates due to the large amount of drivers without drivers licenses and unroadworthy cars and trucks.

I wouldn't take it even if it was half the price.. There has been a lot of accidents on the roads involving busses and taxi's
You can take teh coach from Joburg to Cape Town. But you have to go to the innercity where the train staion is and I did not feel good overthere.
A friend did it and everything went okay.
But here there a lot of flight every day from Joburg to Capetown and not that high priced.

I was a coach driver for 15 years and considered myself as the best driver in the world. Take advice from me, no intercity coach is safe, the drivers fall asleep and they work for peenuts. My longest trip ever was 1700km in 20hours alone behind the wheel and was paid R200-00 for that trip. Do not travel by bus.The companys name was Rainbow coaches.g Traveling by bus is suicide.
thanks for the information ... well said friends
