Default welcome to SA

I would strongly advise a newcomer to Cape Town, not to rush into buying property until you familiarise yourself with the weather conditions, and then the suburbs that you would like to live in. Cape Town property prices are probably higher than most.

A good way to buy is to find out what properties have been repossessed by banks, and to make an offer. Bargains are few but they do happen.

I would also advise you to travel around before buying. There are lovelly places along the Natal south coast , such as Shelley Beach or Pennington, where the climate is much nicer and property prices far more reasonable. Security is better there too.

Welcome to South Africa..!
