I feel very sorry for the starving millions living under mad Bobs rule in neighboring Zimbabwe today. Mr Mugabe has insisted that the vote would be free and fair. (ja right)
A Zanu-PF spokesman says Mr Mugabe is headed for re-election but would accept defeat. (haha) MDC claims to have won 60% of the presidential vote, against 30% for President Robert Mugabe. (I bet its higher) Mr Mugabe is the self declared Black Hitler, he is a dictator. Why would he throw in the towel now? If he was planning on giving up he would not of contested these elections. Mad Bob will die president and nobody will do anything about it. The South African governments way of dealing with this crisis by "Quiet diplomacy" has been part of the problem. SADC countries wined and dined mad Bob instead of telling this old fool to retire before all is lost. |

Zimbabwe's Zanu-PF party is back in the lead after 131 of the 210 parliamentary seats of the March 28 election were declared.
Zanu-PF has captured 64 of the seats, followed by the MDC's 62 and the breakaway Movement for Democratic Change (MDC's) five seats. No official results have been published yet from the presidential election. Election authorities have declined to comment on reports quoting a projection by the ruling party, showing MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai will beat President Robert Mugabe, but that a runoff will be needed. According to the Zanu-PF projections Tsvangirai will get 48 percent of the presidential vote against Mugabe's 43 and Simba Makoni's 8%. Zimbabwe went to the polls on Saturday. Meanwhile, Econometrix chief economist, Azar Jamine, says Zimbabwe's post-election government will have to take drastic action to revamp the crumbling economy. He says the introduction of a new currency, as proposed by MDC Leader Morgan Tsvangarai, will help ease the economic predicament. Jamine says the real challenge lies in trying to restore confidence in the economy. source SABC news |

HARARE (Reuters) - Prospects for a runoff in Zimbabwe's election appeared to increase on Wednesday after state media said President Robert Mugabe had failed to win a majority for the first time in nearly three decades.
Opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai insisted on Tuesday that he would win an outright majority from last Saturday's election but projections by both the ruling ZANU-PF party and private monitors suggested he would fall short, forcing a second round. |

I was wrong, Morgan Tsvangirai looks set to become Zimbabwe's next president with an overall majority of 50,3 percent of the presidential vote to his name, compared to Robert Mugabe's 42,9 percent.
This is great news the people of Zimbabwe. I hope the MDC put old mad Bob with all his cronies in Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison for crimes against humanity. |

Well it looks like I was right. Old mad dog Bob does not want to step down even though the MDC won the March 29 elections. Zimbabwe's electoral commission has still not released results, fueling fears that Mad Dog is trying to hang onto power.
How many more people need to starve or die from police brutality before this insane man gives up? |

Guess what? the deputy mister of foreign affairs has finally got out of bed. SOUTH Africa has now joined the chorus of international calls for Zimbabwe to release the results of its presidential election as soon as possible. What would we do without the minister?
“It’s not time to lose patience,” he told reporters. What a bold statement from a fool who took 2 weeks to react and is not starving like 80% of the Zimbabwean population. |

Zimbabwe’s political opposition suffered a rebuff on Monday when the country’s High Court dismissed its demand that the results of last month’s presidential election be released immediately.
